I asked him how much he wants to charge.. He said it is up me. /QUOTE]
Wildly off current topic (though very much on-topic for the overall thread)...
This is the single most frustrating factor, for a foreigner, when dealing with Filipino vendors of pretty much *any* kind beyond food or retail. They won't quote a fixed price for anything complicated.
In the rest of Asia, you'll get a high initial quote, expect considerable bargaining, and in the process of working out a final price, agree on the price and *detailed* scope of the contract and any special terms and conditions for what is in or out.
In the Philippines, trying to accomplish the same thing is like trying to nail jelly on a wall. (Currently in the process of printing up the t-shirt.)

[QUOTE=abner;12820385]
I have stopped anyone in our village saying "It's up to you" as a few times I have given 5 Peso to and walked off ( paid in full a few days later ) so no one is 100% sure I will come back and pay them so they all give a price also knowing full well that if it is too high the 5 Peso rate comes out again.

P11, probably now is the time you want to dip into your limited funds to extract yourself from the squalid and foetid living conditions that you're currently enduring. Get out of there into a safer/healthier place before it actually kills you.

A mite difficult given that Luzon is in lockdown until 14 April or thereabouts.

Moving on...
My counter affidavit has now been sent and I can expect a resolution proposal in a few week's.. Depending on the current situation here. There is a reasonable chance the case against me will be dismissed or if it goes to court a a 9/10 I would be found not guilty.
Obviously I am hoping that it is dismissed then I can make positive plans for the future. However.. There is the threat of a subpoena from NBI for libel and one for abandonment which she can file after 3 months. Also of course an appearance before a family court for alimony. All of which I take with a pinch of salt

Yes I cannot move out of Luzon but I can move locally if I so wished. But I have explained previously why I do not wish to do so at the moment. I will not waste my time responding to the comment to which you refer.

Re: Me and My Family
Greetings...
Was chatting this morning with a creditor who is owed 12k by my ex. Been advising her how to pursue her claim and today she was told by my ex that I had left her for another woman. She went on to say that she we wants me deported and has two cases filed against me. The first I have already received and put in a counter affidavit. I assume the second one is for libel from NBI. I put her straight.....Waiting....

Re: Me and My Family
The question of deportation cannot come up until the prosecutor comes up with a resolution which could take many months..
If I went back voluntarily, the case would probably have been heard in my absence and found guilty by default. I would then be blacklisted to re-enter the Philippines.
Covoid 19 is now prevalent in the UK as well as here.
I suspect that I would be unable to leave the Philippines because BI are most probably aware of a case(s) against me. I was held for 2 hours a few weeks ago whilst trying to renew my visa.
Moving on.. 8888 have received details of my complaint against the Sheriff of the city concerned in obstructing the progress of my Small Claims case. Awaiting a response.
Regards

Re: Me and My Family
Clearly nefarious going-ons! The Philippines bureaucracy normally runs like a fine Swiss watch and calling Manila! And they were ENCOURAGING him to leave by giving him a "Bill of no Criminal Record" SO he could live. Nudge-Nudge. Then they'll slam the door shut! Clearly they are out to get you.
Just don't go about promulgating any questionable news and "warnings" on the internet. After all, ex-LL might see such and use it to her own purposes.
Phil Gov sounds serious about such.
