I suggest you read my posts carefully.. I stated clearly that the Statement came from a friend of mine and no where did I suggest that MikeK1 reposted as you thought. I corrected you on that point.
Now I can now further add that the source came from his friend in the State Department and the statement was sent directly to the US embassy here. It was not made public because of political implications. The US embassy then contacted all US citizens who have been registered with them.
Now you can believe what you want.. But I have passed on information that is fair and accurate. Take it or leave it.

“Hindi kayo nakakatulong, but the Philippine National Police will go after you, so huwag niyo kaming subukan at hahabulin namin kayo,” he said.
(You are not helping but the PNP will go after you so don’t try us because we will go after you.)
The police chief said the PNP would soon show an “example” on how purveyors of false information can face charges.
A text message that recently made rounds claimed that the Philippines was vulnerable to looting because the average Filipino family only had a week’s worth of savings. The message cited a supposed study by the US State Department.
Officers were also dispatched to areas where social media users claimed there were incidents of looting and found no such crimes there, said PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac".

Asian Development Bank forecasting remittances from Filipinos abroad to drop by over 20% this year. They usually contribute a tenth of GDP. Puts more households into poverty and in need of more government dole outs. A double depressing effect on the PhP.

Yes agreed. I remember those heady days in the 2000's when it was PHP120 to £1. Perhaps we will see some restoration to our own circumstances we as have all been affected by Brexit. Lets hope selfishly for a positive double whammy when Bozzo completes the extraction from the EU.
