Hello all how are we?.
been a while since I was here lol
am moving to ph permanently as soon as this virus allows me,
but Iam looking for a shipping company to send a pallet and a couple of boxes potentially
a company that would collect from my house and ship and also deliver to destination address,
I had a quick quote from a company who offered £1500 for 1 pallet
But that’s stupid,
has anyone used a shipping company or can point me in the right direction, a reliable company obviously because Iam sending my life there.

Our local BB shipper, we're near Cambridge will ship just about anything, not just boxes. Contact you local BB shipper for a quote, you won't find cheaper. One word of warning, don't ship anything you .might think you will need ship back again as BB only works in one direction. It would be commercial rates back again.

£1500 is extortionate. We sent our entire household goods, furniture, TV’s clothes, garden equipmemt.....everything in a 40ft container. The container was picked up from our location and shipped out to Subic Port. We the had it delivered to Pangasinan. Admittedly this was 3.5 years ago. The cost for sea Freight of the container was £1100, Delivery from Subic to Pangasinan 38,000php,and customs clearance agent was about 30,000php. The only downside was the customs duty and VAT which was 90,000 php.which we could have got away with paying that had we got a 13a visa at the time. Note, you do need to supply a full inventory of goods to be shipped and a second hand shop price will suffice to keep duty and VAT down.
We did have an advantage in that we were aware of shipping costs as,our business involved bringing gods from thr Far East which meant using Ocean Freight and occasionly air Freight ( very expensive).
The biggest obtacle you Will find is obtaining a shipping agent to process a non commercial invoice at port of entry. Shipping a pallet and a few boxes could Go as a part container shared with other companies products. Try to find a shipping agent in the UK that has dealings with clearance agents here in the Philippines.
There are companies in the UK who specialise in moving goods for people that want to move abroad. They are all very, very expensive because they rely on senders lack of knowledge of the true cost involved.
We did get a quote ( eventuly) from a company that ships balikbayan boxes. They were a complete rip off, and we got quoted £12,000. Balikbayan boxes are a fixed size, and they Will work out precisely How many they can get into a 20 or 40 ft container. Weight has very
Little bearing, but pallets and odd sizes Will reduce their profit considerably hence the high cost.

There are plenty of companies that send Balikbayan Boxes at all different prices, I use Belwood ( http://www.belwoodukfreight.co.uk/?LMCL=c3FN3k ) that give good service. When I shipped my household here I used a shipping company in the UK that turned up with container and help to load it, shipped to my province ( container glass seals still intact ) and provided help ( not that it was needed this end ) to unload, £4,200 and that covered all fees, customs, container, shipping etc. They also offered part container offers as well. If you are interested I can dig out his email address but it might take a few days.

I dont need a whole house shipped though lol, the largest items will just fit in 1 pallet and the rest can be sent in a box
