The waiting is always the worst part for me - I am so impatient. Dreading all the hanging about especially with kids wanting to make plans and know when things will be happening. I had initially thought we would be there by October but beginning to think thats not realistic, hope you hear soon

I've just put my house on the market - dreading how long it could take! NOT a good time to want to sell.

Jaca, How long did you wait from interview to offer of specific post at Hospital - they offered me job but still waiting to hear back from Northern area about specific post- I knwo probably just me but so impatient and its been two weeks since they told me they had all my police checks and refree reports in. I have my registration so really want to get things moving - so frustrating telling people we are going but not knowing where or to do what!!!!

good luck with interview , i'm a mental health nurse and was interviewed last October. i was asked about six questions all scenario ones nothing particularly taxing all really common sense. There was a thread about interview questions but think that was last year but if you have a look back through discussions you should find something. I wouldn't worry too much though remember they are desperate for nurses. I had only been qualified about 8 months when interviewed and was offered a post there and then.
Good luck

I also found the interview really laid back, the questions were very easy for a practitioner to answer - you will be a star i'm sure. Just be aware that they do not move very fast even when they tell you you've been successful at interview things move slowly afterwards. I know i'm stuck in limbo land at the moment!!!

My interview was 14.3.08, they do not offer permanant residence as standard only 4 yr temp 457 visa, though i believe that some people on BE have ben offered something different - it seems to depend upon how much in demand the job is and is negotiated direct with your Hospital rather tha recruitment staff at interview. Hope this helps, AJ

Hi all,
got a job at Redcliffe lined up, waiting for case officer to request meds and police checks which agents say should be imminent (lodged 17th December). House still on market but now feel really fed up!!! Reccy to QLD was great but I really am beginning to think its too much! Feel like life is always on hold and I wake every day to think shall we go or should we stay? Sorry to moan but feel as though i've spent loads of hard earned savings, dont live for the day and cant imagine it all falling into plce! Anyone out there on the same track? Lou
