Why NZ can be perceived as being 'boring'

Re: Why NZ can be perceived as being 'boring'
Is the boring thing not because we all now something to compare to . Most of us have lived in at least 2 countries (or are seriously working towards moving to another country) and some have lived in more.
When I lived in the UK I had boring moments, but never had anything to compare that life to...so rarely complained that things would be better elsewhere. Now I know, for sure, that some things really are better in the UK. And, generally those are the things linked to a bigger population density and more consumerist society, and also closer proximity to other nations that NZ, with it's isolation and smaller population simply can't compete with.
Some things really are better in NZ though, IMHO. Can't say I've been bored here for a good long while, if ever. Maybe I'll start feeling bored one day, but I'm not seeing it yet.
