What is REALLY uncool about NZ
 

The road deaths. This weekend just gone 13 people are dead. A pregnant woman amongst them and 2 cyclists, all taken out by idiots on the wrong side of the road. It is IMO the worst, worst thing about NZ. It could touch any of us whereas all the other shit that abounds you can dodge and are most likely to find a way round it. But driving is summat we all have to do and no matter how carefully you drive there is always the chance some pissed up, speeding bastard could kill you, your partner or worse your kids. On the same day these figs were announced our roading minister flatly refuses to drop our high alco/blood levels citing that it will make no difference. That is utter, utter bollocks. A load of international research came out last month proving the opposite. He said "what if we lower it and nothing happens?" So ******* what????? At least it is worth a try. It surely ain't going to increase deaths is it???? They are simply worried about losing votes. Another reason I will never vote for any politician ever again. I think they are all out for themselves, have their own agendas and are not interested in my safety or yours. Stuff 'em. Does any one have anything they consider less cool??

HOW UNCOOL IS XMAS IN SUMMER??????????????????????? Not as bad as road deaths but its getting there. Its the one thing I don't like about our summers. The fact that xmas in the mix too!!!!! Its just wrong.

The UV harshness is uncool.

The one-eyedness is pretty uncool (oops, can I say that?).

Miserably cold houses are uncool.

Standing at the check out with 2 bags of poor quality shopping for $45 is pretty uncool.

Average car size being driven around is SERIOUSLY uncool.

I don't mind the "it's not what you know but who you know" thing because my husband is dead fit and personable and I would say it's given us a few leg-ups we'd have struggled to get in the UK :D

I like Xmas in summer- if you're going to have all those public holidays it's pretty cool to have them when the sun is shining and I think Xmas in summer keeps a bit of perspective about Xmas, unlike in the UK where it's the highlight of several miserable months and has snowballed out of all proportion. For us Xmas arrives pretty much when the kids break up from school and we stick a tree up and go wild in the aisles buying cheese and pink fizz and PASTRAMI SALMON. Summer Xmas rocks imo, so don't you moaners go getting it changed :D

'Recidivist' drunk drivers, how uncool is that? Not once, not twice or more is enough times to be caught and still be allowed to drive.

Superior????? Some of them think they are a different species! We have a local eye co. and their advert professes that 'kiwi eyes are different, through them we can see anything we like (yeah I agree with that bit..that would be their deluded view on life in some cases!!)' the advert goes on how 'special' kiwi eyes are. For fxxx sake why are THEIR eyes any different from any other humans?? Very, very irritating attitude. Not eccentric but bloody smug IMO.

The legal system allowing a drink driver 16 cases of drink driving before imprisonment. WTF kind of message does that send out??

The fact that you can 'buy back' your licence after a disqual. in court for drink drive if your job depends on your licence (said licence can ONLY be used for work, no social) but still how weak and crass is that??? Hello, should have thought of that before you got behind the wheel pissed mate. How pathetic, toothless and pandering to these selfish, bastard drink drivers????????????
