You pay for your landfill rubbish bags so it encourages you to recycle as much as possible. I'm the same as you, I often have to go through the rubbish bags fishing out bottles and cans that my older children throw in them!

More info here: http://www.acc.co.nz/. It is effectively a very large insurance scheme. It is not always full proof but the majority of the time it seems to work. |
