If you are positive, enjoy meeting people and are open minded you will do well. There are so many things to do here and no boundaries. Having kids is a great way to get to know people in the community and start to build your network of people. I have met so many people from the Uk who have come here with the wrong attitude, most of them end up going back. The ones that stay are mostly very very happy. Do your research, find out what you want out of life and then choose the location. Tauranga/mount maunganui is just perfect for us. Never been so skint and happy in all our lives!!!

Hi,many thanks for your quick reply like you I think you have definetely have to go a with a positive attitude. I know money is not everything and it does not equate to happiness, but is New Zealand as costly to live in as the UK?How much would be a households average monthly expenditure not including mortgage.
