Re: The KIWI BAR
Hi there, how are we all doing now 2011 has started? I had an impromptu night at a friends house to see in the New Year.......along with the sod that I had a fall out with in August ( those of you in the know will remember my rants!!!) I stressed out about it as I have not been in his company since the incident and was really anxious. OH was none to happy about going either but we really like the "neutral" friends so we went.In the end it wasn't too bad;I decided NOT to drink ( shock I know!!) as I wanted to leave if I felt the need and not have to wait on a cab.
My friend( wife of sod) was a bit quiet but it turns out she didn't know how to tell me that she and the 3 kids were heading to Scotland in July for a holiday as she knows how much I have been missing my folks recently. I told her not to be so silly that I was a big girl now and can deal with other people getting things I am not At the start of new year the sod came and gave me a hug and wished me all the best!!!! I think that things may be better now, which is good for us all. I will NEVER forget what he said and will NEVER forgive him but can at least deal with it more rationally now instead of wanting to kill the git every time I thought about it.
So,a more positive start to 2011 than I was expecting. Now I know that I have said I want to stop drinking as much wine.........but nobody said anything about good malt whisky!!!!! Bottoms up everyone.

Re: The KIWI BAR
My shout tonight
Back to work today but at least there's less than half the staff in the building and I'm on my own in my office for this week - means I can get on with all those little jobs that I never get round to cos everyone's always wanting me to do something for them
Bigger issue was that none of the nearest coffee shops were open, and no-one thought to get any milk for the staff room, so I had to get through the whole morning on a bottle of water

I need a big drink but can't have one! Holiday cut short admitted to hospital twice in Turkey very scary. Emergency flights home in bed with pneumonia grrrr. If everyone has a drink for me that would be very nice
