Hello from Simon and Lorraine

Re: Hello from Simon and Lorraine
Hi Boopy
Many thanks. Did you have a job to go too or did you just 'take a chance'?
My hubby and I are visiting Excel in a few weeks time for an emigration roadshow - not sure if they are any good, but we can at least try it.
I've seen a beautiful house on the internet and stuck it on my kitchen cupboard, I've told my hubby that's our inspiration :-)
Many thanks

Hi Lorraine,
We were both lucky enough to have jobs to go to. I'm a nurse & hubby was in the right place at the right time. Hubby wouldn't move here until I had a job - just to have a little security. 19yr old son got a job after 3 months, life is good, much more relaxed. We've all settled well.

Hi Lorraine
Try this Expo this weekend coming at Earls Court. We visited last year & found it very useful. Plenty of other people have used it too

We've submitted and now been selected from the pool, which at first we thought was fab, and the waiting over, only now to be stuck waiting for our EOI to be "vetted". I suppose for them to be sure we have the points we say we have. All v. frustrating, but have found this site invaluable, as so many people are in the same boat, or have experienced it all already, that they can give you a bit more insight. V. helpful

This waiting lark is aaaaaaahhhhhhhhh, our EOI was submitted and selected from the pool in November, and since then we've heard from them (NZ Immigration) only once when questioning me about my qualifications. That got sorted nearly a month ago and nothing from them since. How much longer. The suspense is killing me....... I even tried emailing my case officer and nothing...

Hi Guys, What does your status say on the NZ Immigration Web site? Are you sat at Selected or ITA issued? This seems such a huge, huge wait! I had got the impression that we could expect about a 5 week wait between being selected and receiving the ITA. Does anyone else have any recent experience on this?
Best of luck, Lisa.
