Don't be so patronising - everyone else has managed to respond convivially. Why mention Sydney or London? Ermmm, because they're both massive capital cities with all the infrastructure issues that go along with that. Sorry I couldn't 'bolter' my argument more, perhaps the fact that you appear to be illiterate is the issue.

Facinating. Thanks for posting that. Charts look very interesting.

And here's another thought to bear in mind when raw unemployment numbers are quoted over the coming months. There are about 3 million more people of working age this time than last, and 4.5 million more than in the early 80s recession. If - and it's a big if - the raw numbers are no worse than last time, we'll have done rather better.
