Where I am now is about 6km from everywhere I need to go and that takes about 10 minutes on the bike so hopefully I'll save a packet and lose a bit of weight too. Quite funny dressed in my bike leathers and steaming past an Australian bicycle athlete with his skin tight trousers on up hill, you should see the look of disgust you get, like your cheating or something.
I miss the alpacas but I don't miss the guinea fowl, noisy messy bird, spent half my life jet washing it's doodoo from around the house and the other half chasing it off when it wakes me up in the middle of the night with a sound that can best be described as a car alarm. Ahhh pleasant memories......

I'm already getting lardy, and believe it or not you still have to peddle an electric bike! BUT it makes going up hill a doddle so I seem more likely to use it. Also it only costs about 100th of the car to run. Does 25kph (I've had it doing 50.1kph!!!!) that was scary but the baby loved it on the back.

I have a very funny inmage of you tootling along clad in full leathers.
Must be very sweaty pedalling in leather...
Do you have to wear a proper m'bike helmet for it too.

With the price of bread what it is a trip to the supermarket to get a loaf in the car doubled the price of the bread. Going on the bike it adds almost nothing. Well recomended...

I have gained a funny thing since returning, a bit of hayfever. Never had it b4 luckily, it must be being away from all the pollen and returning with no resistance - sure it wont last though. Hope not as the cure of drinking elderflower in water which smells like cats piss doesnt appeal

Hi Tanya, don't know if you remember me, we moved back a year ago. Just saw your post about hayfever and thought I'd add that my other half has got really bad hayfever since we returned as well - he never had it before either. Perhaps there are some new sprays that the farmers are using here now?
