Nearest TJ's to us is in Tyngsborough, MA, next to Nashua, NH. That one doesn't do wine though, pity. Stop and Shop is more expensive than it really needs to be for what it sells. Some of the bigger Hannafords do some Brit stuff and also some Shaws supermarkets.

I use to order them from the Schwans man all the time, they came in a package with a bunch of different flavoured ones and soy sauce packages for dipping, bloody lovely!

Thank you kindly, I am up to speed now
. However, I thought LCB stores were only in Canada!

Although it's described as "Pork Back Bacon and Water Product" It doesn't sound the same somehow. But it's still good, I've just had two sarnies on crusty bread with HP sauce

S&S have been stocking that here in Westchester for years. Also have it in their stores in Massachusetts.
Not quite like the rasher of bacon from the Irish butcher or used in the Irish coffee shops here but a good product for those that don't like American Smoked/Cured Bacon, like my hubby.

Thankfully, we're a bit more progressive down here. Wine and beer in all the stores. Hard stuff is the liquor store though.

For anyone interested in checking out Trader Joe's, here is their website which includes all of their store locations in the USA:
http://www.traderjoes.com
http://www.traderjoes.com/product_categories.html
Not all of their stores sell alcohol though...my nearest one in Florham Park, NJ doesn't but if I drive to another town, Westfield in NJ they do sell beer and wine at very good prices. I bought a bottle of 'Old Moon' Californian Zinfandel from the Full Moon winery in TJ's and drank it with friends (wine lovers) last night and we all enjoyed it v. much and I think it only cost about $6 (if that).
I do love the TJ's variety of frozen meals and desserts, especially for a bit of a change when you want something interesting, healthy but not pricey whether for a midweek meal or a special occasion. I love their own label Thai Green curry (cook-in) sauce which comes in a jar and their olive bruschetta. They are much cheaper than Wholefoods too.
