Stop & Shop

For those of us in the North East, Stop and Shop now stock Irish Back Bacon.
Although it's described as "Pork Back Bacon and Water Product" It doesn't sound the same somehow. But it's still good, I've just had two sarnies on crusty bread with HP sauce

You had to do that, did'nt you.
I made a bacon butty with whole wheat bread and Trader Joe's thick cut, apple smoked, bacon, not back bacon but still very good; and I used A1 sauce and I was in great shape. Then I looked here and saw.......
Mullica hill is my closest. Thanks

I'll have to keep an eye open for a 'stop and shop' as I've never been in one but am pretty sure that they have them in this area.

I've been buying bacon from stop & shop since 1999

If your particular store doesn't stock it, drop a note for the store's manager in to customer services. They'll have it within the month.
Your local Stop and shop is also able to buy in Heinz beans, Robinsons lemon and Orange, Ribena, Hob Nobs, and various other things that have escaped my aging memory.
Gruff, when you're in the area, check out the big Stop and Shop in Clifton, next to the cinema, and Target. They have all kinds of British goodies.

It's only recently turned into a Stop & Shop, used to be a SuperG. They've got quite a nice collection of goodies in there.

Wegmans does that stuff too, my favourite are their hot cross buns, very authentic.
