Sally, that would be The Tate Gallery in the Albert Dock, thats where Linda went to see her Rodins.
Yes the city has certainly undergone some amazing changes, and not before time too.
I can remember when it was pretty run down in the 1980's and being so sad when I visited from Australia, now it is more livelier than ever and just lovely.

Sally...thanks so very much for this Health Tip!! I always attribute my muscle pain, unexplained pains here and there that dog me each and every day..to my lack of a thyroid. I take my Synthroid every day, but still have thought..nothing like having the real deal..thyroid firmly in place. Am going to look in my medicine cabinet if I have Vitamin D tablets..god knows I must have everything else. And if I don't I'm off to Walgreen's to get a supply and give it a good try. Thanks again..every little bit helps.
Vitamain D seems to be the 'in' thing at the moment so I was skeptical about it. But I had suffered constant joint and muscle pain for 8 months and was ready to try anything. It took a while to work fully, but I am now completely pain-free and I'm a believer, as the Monkeys sang!
It's really worth asking your doctor for a test. It's a simple blood test and takes a few days to get the results. Then the doc can tell you how much to take and for how long. The most amazing thing for me is that my migraines, which I've had since I was a teenager, have almost completely stopped. That was a nice surprise! I asked the doctor about it and she said 'oh we've heard that before but there's no proof it works for migraines.' Well, I know it does!

Not to be a bummer, but if it is Vitamin D deficiency, you need pretty big doses to correct it. I had to have a prescription to get the dose I needed, but once the levels got to normal and the pain went, I was able to move down to just 2 Citra-Cal tablets a day.

No doc for me, I'm one of the many UNINSURED in America and can't afford the high premiums they want to charge me as an individual. So for me it's a bit of preventive care as best I can, until Nov when supposedly my Medicare kicks in. I'll just take a regular dose of D via over the counter...can't hurt that's for sure. Still I thank you for relieving me of my 'doubting Thomas' train of thought, re: my friend.

It's a public holiday day off for everybody here, but to be honest I have no real interest, though I may just flick over on the telly out of sheer nosiness...................

I tried to get the day off work, but couldn't. It's impossible to get a Friday off where I work (unless you give at least 6 months notice). I plan on getting up early to watch it. Coverage starts at 4 am Eastern time and the actual ceremony starts at 6 am. I start work at 8 am but I can go in late as long as I stay late and make up the time at the end of the day. Yes, I will be watching. I wouldn't miss it!!

After a blood test, a doctor can tell you how much it's safe to take because they know what level you're starting at.
But over the counter Citra-Cal would be safe for anyone (that's 600IU a day) - it just wouldn't make a dint in the problem for someone who was seriously deficient.
