Yes but if fall on hard times in this country you are ****ed, it is social darwinism here. And those hard times could just be someone gets sick that's all, no laziness, drugs, boozing, gambling and all that. Believe me I am living that American nightmare.

sorry to hear that my friend - the reality is though is that if you are sick in the UK these days, gov't aint gonna pay for shi*. Mortgage or loans - forget about it....you can't pay you will lose your house, so there's not much difference there.

M & S ready meals is what I miss the most about the UK. :

Heinz baked beans (the proper ones) are fairly easy to find in many supermarkets usually with the International foods.

I suppose it would be the little things that you would miss - the things that you can't get .....

Did you know the chief cause of bancruptcy in the US is medical bills?

Last time I checked Healthcare free at the point of delivery was still available inthe UK.

And housing benefit. And disability whatsit. And Jobseekers allowance. Etc.

OMG you have no idea...
