All I know is, the consumption of alcohol in the US actually went up during prohibition. Of course, the tax revenue from alcohol sales plummeted which is why prohibition was repealed...

Just saying ... If you really want kinder eggs ....

Anyway, they are supposedly illegal in the USA. Problem is, unlike guns, the founding fathers did not think to write out a constitutional amendment saying that citizens' rights to own & eat them should not be abridged.

I think they are, they started putting the toy in a plastic container after a kid choked on one.

Sadly I did know someone whose little boy died by choking on a silverskin pickle. The story on the BE home page keeps reminding me of it.
