Hi BE family
I'm such a happy camper right now, I wanted to share with you all the latest, and started this new thread rather than adding it to my other London or Lancashire thread.
Okay, where to start? As some of you know I'm just waiting for my new passport, which in my mind seems to be taking FOREVER, when in reality it's just normal processing time.LOL. But according to the passport office, all being well my passport should be printed some time next week

Next the big issue was where to stay ! In the end I decided to follow my heart and go back home to Lancashire
I'd planned to stay in a B&B while I looked for a job and somewhere more permanent (house share) to live. I'd spent so much time online looking at areas and B&B's, taking into consideration shops, transport and the area. I didn't want to be right in a city but close enough to commute to and from, so initially I'd settled for Lostock with great transport links to Wigan, Bolton and Manchester.
So fast forward a bit ! I then found the most adorable B&B for £35 per night including breakfast of course. It has the most AMAZING views ( I posted a pic on my other thread). So naturally I started researching, checking on Google Earth about the area, looking at transportation and shops and I said to myself 'THIS IS THE ONE' !
It's close to friends, and I can catch the buses and train to Manchester and surrounding areas.
I get the best of BOTH worlds... I get to live in the gorgeous English countryside, have peace quiet, quaint pubs, yet can walk down a country lane and catch the bus
Now I know you're saying that's only a B&B, but here's the best bit. The owner emailed me and told me they have a flat they can let me rent long term for £120 per week and that includes EVERYTHING, so no bills to pay. It's small and cozy which is just fine as I'm the only one who needs it, with an attic bedroom overlooking the countryside
I don't think I could get a better deal than that do you???? I'd be paying pretty close to that for a house share, but I wouldn't have my privacy and it wouldn't feel like my own and I'd probably be paying less if I rented a place elsewhere in the area, but then I'd have to add on all the bills such as electricity, council tax, telly, internet etc etc.
So as I said I'm a happy camper ! I'm moving to Diggle
I've booked a room at the B&B, so I can go stay and check out the flat in person. :
Whoo Hoo !!! Now all I have to do is get my passport, buy my ticket and get outta here....LOL

Congratulations looks like a nice area. Glad it is working out for you. Much better than London area imho

Wow that looks absolutely lovely! So glad things are all starting to fall into place for you, I've got a good feeling about a job too

I must admit, I'm not as nervous now ! I know it's still going to be difficult at first, but at least I know I have somewhere to call home, instead of a temporary address, and all the rest will fall into place too

Fantastic news and what a lovely place to go to, much better than London. Life always has a habit of steering you in the right directions if you take the time to let it! Passport in hand, plane ticket booked and you are off!
Won't be long before you find your job as well

Just remember to leave me with some..
