I don't know, I'm not familiar with O'Hare, so I don't know if the train that goes from terminal to terminal is on the flight side or the main side where you'd need to go through security. It would be good if I didn't have to go through security again.

Update: I just found out online that I DO have to go through security again. The 3 domestic terminals are all connected so no need to go through security, but the International Terminal is separate, so once I get on the ATS and get to the terminal I'll have to go through security Darn !

Rebecca is right. Ohare is "hell upon wheels". You will have to RUN to get to the terminal if you only have one hour between flights. If you have to do security again, too, you will really have to scoot.

I really hope not ! I land at 7:10pm and take off at 8.35pm, so hoping that gives me more than enough time. From what I read about the airport their ATS runs every 5 minutes, and Terminal 5 is the next stop after getting on at Terminal 3, so the trip takes less than 3 minutes. So depending on whether the time of 7:10pm means that is the time the wheels actually touchdown in Chicago or that's the time the plane should actually be pulling up to the Terminal, at the latest I would get off the plane and start heading for Terminal 5 at 7.30pm. They should start boarding at around 8:05pm.

Either way I'm probably not going to have to dawdle because out of everything, security is going to be the nightmare partly because every man and his dog is going to want to be going through at the same time and some of these people have NO idea how to travel and prepare, so then they hold up the lines for everyone else.

But it's going to be close, no matter which way I look at it. I just hope my luggage gets to the next plane

You'll be fine! You'll have to keep moving, but you'll make it.

O'Hare has what I call "mules". Some guy (usually ) driving a go-cart-like vehicle. Some are small and some have several seats. You might try to get a ride between terminals on one of those. You'll probably have to be pushy to get it though. Every man for himself in that airport, especially with the staff.

Nice idea..lol. But I usually walk a lot faster than everyone else seems to do and it borders on power walking.. I'll probably be on the ATS before everyone else has even finished getting off the plane.

On an occasion when time was tight I used the electric carts taxi to get me to the next gate. Was faster than walking and driver can radio ahead that you are coming

Will definitely keep an eye out for those then just in case. But I'm probably overthinking it..lol. I'll just play it by ear when I get there and I'm sure I won't be the only one heading for the same plane. Will walk a little faster just in case.
