Hello all,
I have finally become a member after being a browser for a while so this is my 1st post. Having lived in WA for over a year now I can relate to how all you ladies are feeling and after reading Jo's post I have come to realise that I haven't had a good laugh since I've been here, apart from when I've had family staying, or spoken to friends over the phone, which because of the time difference isn't as often as I'd like! Although I have some nice friends here I feel that half the time they just don't get me, have dodgy sense of humour, and the jokes not funny when it goes straight over their heads and you have to explain! Actually come to think of it maybe thats the problem, they don't find me that funny! Its all getting to be like too much hard work so lately I can't even be bothered to spend time with people, think everyones getting fed up with me, its got to a point where I'm getting on me own nerves! Anyway I just wanted to say its nice to know that its not just me who feels like cr*p so I'll stop waffling now.
TT.

Well I think you're funny! Hello and welcome to the club! I miss people who 'get' me too. I usually make friends really easily, but then I reckon I wear 'em down because I'm so flighty and full of it. Most don't understand the irony either. Folk on this forum seem to cop on to it though and we've had a few laughs, so stick around.

Anyway better get on if I want to get out of this Hellhole so I'll say bye for now and maybe join you all in the bar later for a vodka or three.

Lucky mare going home so soon
Yup, bet you think you've died and been sent to hell coming from London and ending up down there! We went there once, Busselton and Margaret River. That was enough.

I'm originally a London girl TT. Which part you from and what made you go down to the SW of WA? Do you have children?

We went down to Albany and made our way back, stopping off at Pemberton, Walpole, Denmark, Margaret River, Dunsborough, then Bussleton. I can honestly say that although the B & B we stayed in down near Walpole was gorgeous (I'd highly recommend it), nothing and nowhere else we stayed left any mark on us. We certainly wouldn't bother going again that's for sure.

Welcome to TT also.
I don't get why people like the sarcastic sense of humour, it always seems to me when I have sarcastic people in my company that its nastiness dressed up as humour.

I should be de-cluttering too but also just can't be arsed! I really miss having a good old laugh too! In fact the day I went to meet Jo was when it hit me that Australians just don't understand where we are coming from! I had never met this other Brit before but within a couple of minutes we were entertaining each other with our Perth experiences and really laughing! It was just so nice to take the piss out of things and the other person know exactly what you were on about and where you were coming from!
