Are you still serving for those of us just starting our day here in Vancouver? Or shall we serve ourselves? i'd like a pint of London Pride and a packet of scampi fries please. Has anyone got a fifty pence piece for a game if pool?!
Its quite nice in here isn't it? I might just sit and wait in here, until my OH gets a job in the Uk so we can move back, if thats OK with you

Damn missed out on having a drink last night, was dozing in front of Taggart with a couple of beers and never logged on.
It is probably a bit early for me but maybe a Buck's Fizz as a nice breakfast beverage (put's on "Making Your Mind Up" on the juke box and thinks of Eurovision).

Missed out last night. But seeing how it is still drinking time in the UK I'll have a lime mojito please
might need a couple today, our flat is having it's first viewing. I need the collective mind control of MBTTUK to make sure an investor who wants a sitting tenant buys it, as I really don't want to move before we return to UK.

How's life in Adelaide Merseygirl?
I miss being able to go up to Clare/Barossa and do the winery thing - but it's probably too hot by now anyway to do that since it is now October.

I haven't done the winery thing myself for a long time... it is a nice way to spend a day, but I tend to only go to wineries when we have visitors from overseas, which isn't all that often

It's so funny here in the US, when I first moved here and asked for a lager and lime. They gave me a beer with a little wedge of lime on the top of the bottle. Haven't had a lager and lime here in America in 21 years, as they don't understand I mean lime juice not a piece of lime.
Lager and lime was my choice of drink as a teenager, probably too sweet now.......so when I pop back in this weekend, I'm going to order a Guinness

I love blackcurrant juice, and when I went out on the town and didn't want a hangover the next day I ordered a blackcurrant and soda (I think), and boy, was that delicious. Never put it in my lager, though. Lager and orange, never tried that one either, sounds interesting
Mind you, I was usually too busy trying to drink the pub dry when I was younger. I remember enjoying a drink called "blue balls" and it was delicious, hee, hee........can't remember what was in it though.
