TBH, I've never seen the program, but the ads are fabulously entertaining. There was an ad recently promising to 'expose' the greedy Sydney suburbs that refuse to support 'Aussie battlers' - then the image was of someone begging. It's always about Aussie battlers and Aussie Mum and Dad investors. Or how never to work again but earn millions property investing. How stupid do they think their audience is?

Every single one of my friends who I used to make amateur movies with has ended up in either professional theatre acting, video production, magazine editing, videotape editing, or special effects work.

Muggins here comes to Adelaide and, despite getting qualifications coming out of the wazoo, ends up unemployed and looking for office jobs the thought of spending one's life doing makes you comprehend why people go crazy with handguns.

Opportunities for sweet fa round here - unless you've got contacts in the local footy club, no doubt.

Actually l agree with you Adelaide is a boring, dump, worst unemployment rate in OZ,
but you would'nt expect many jobs in the film industry in a small city of 1 million people, obviously in the UK population 60 million there would be many more jobs.

No one has been killed by a spider bite in OZ in 30 years, an average of 3 people per year are killed by snake bite mostly adults who are stupid enough to pick or or try to kill a snake.
Are you seriously trying to spin Australia having less dangerous wildlife than than the UK? You're more delusional than I first thought.

The U.K. ranks poorly in factors such as quality of relationships, behavior, health and safety, according to the report. The country has the worst levels of youth drunkenness and teenage sexual relations
Unfortunately no matter how proud you are of your country, sometimes there is no denying the truth

UK youth drunkenness has spiralled out of contol and teenage pregnancies are rife.

This forum wasn't really created for talking about 'what went wrong', but more a platform for those moving back, or have moved back, to share experiences, tips and support.

Can we please stop this "them and us" mentality and instead support each other. It seems threads like these are started more to cause an argument than anything else. This forum is for the discussion of topics relating to moving back to the UK not for the purpose of slagging of the UK.

It's quite clear really, if you are NOT moving back to the uk then why post in MBTTUK?

Thank you
