'42 and Up' is available as a boxed set from when the kids were 7. '49 and up' was made in 2006 and I don't think it's included in the boxed set. Try Ebay or Amazon. I rented '42 and Up' from our local Library - maybe you could order it ($1 for 7 nights!!).

Cheers

Can't believe nobody has mentioned Football Factory - that is a London movie and funny though quite violent. Sexy beast is fantastic - Ben Kingsley is from my neck of the woods so I am biased but I think we can all agree he is a fine actor.

Withnail and I is a great british movie too. Have you in stiches.

Men Behaving Badly
Saving Grace
The Full Monty

You could look into getting a multi-region DVD player too. They're pretty cheap to get, and are almost an essential purchase for the expat Brit. Then you can just start buying stuff off www.play.com or www.amazon.co.uk

Twin Town is a top quality movie!

I've not seen Naked for years, I've got that on Video upstairs. I'm going to look that one out!

However, if I'm feeling a bit homesick, it has to be Braveheart for me (even though it was filmed mostly in Ireland!)
Freeeeeeeeeeeedoooommmmmmmm.............

Also, I enjoy the odd Billy Connolly stand up routine.

A good movie with Billy Connolly, which me and the missus watched last night that I can highly recommend is The Debt Collector.

We borrowed some early Taggart and Lord Peter Wimsey mysteries through Netflix. Great stuff.

A film called "the business" strangely enough all about expats in the south of Spain in the 80's was quite good. Also another Billy Connely one is called Still Crazy about a 70's rock band that reunite!! Very funny.

Well I chose the smallest pink cooked ones I could find and used those, then thawed them out properly (didn't use water), then gave them a good drain. Et Voila! Old fashioned English Prawn Cocktail. I am also going to try them in jacket potatoe's too with a some real cheddar on the top. I just remembered that I really miss Ploughman's lunches and slabs of Yorkshire Ham....
