Hi Fish,
That quote was for a self load container with Upakweship. As for the power equipment, I agree with MItF. Our movers told us to drain all fuel and to make sure the mower was clean. They won't pack the empty fuel container, or the gas bottle for the BBQ.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Sallysimmons and homeiswheretheheartis
Actually a black door is also good!!!! But red looked better against my stucco!
ONE day?!?!?!?!?!?!? WOW!! That's awesome. fingers crossed we do the same. It would be great do go into escrow as we're driving across the country and before we sail.
We're actually going to end up shipping with Rainier. Sea and Air kept changing the quote. I found out today that my sleep number bed can literally be unpacked and put into boxes, so that helps. We can now do a lift van shipment instead of a pallet one - much easier. We just have to keep it below 200 cu ft which I know I can do, the husband however.........
$2500 door to door (not including insurance) but other than that no hidden fees. Hurrah!!!! I don't think we'll have to pay any VAT in the UK cause everything is over 6 months old.
Thanks for all the encouragement. It means a lot

Have you talked to Letton Percival about insurance? We got a great quote from them - about half what we had been quoted elsewhere - and the coverage seems very good.
We have buyers for our fridge freezer, washing machine, assorted small appliances and outgrown kids' bikes, and all the furniture we wanted to get rid of. Just the cars left to sell now, and wouldn't you know it, someone rear-ended my OH yesterday while he was stopped at a pedestrian crossing!!!
Fortunately nobody was hurt and the other driver admitted liability so everything will be covered by her insurance (so no damage to our no claim history), but I could really do without having to get the car fixed before we can sell it.

Oh no! That sucks. Hopefully it won't take too long to fix.
The only furniture we're taking is our bed but I found out yesterday a sleep number can be completely dismantled and deflated so instead of 60 cu ft it only takes about 6!!! I know Rainier offer insurance (not sure who with) $25 per $1000 no deductible. Is that good?
Husband sold his SUV today!!! woohooooooo!!! Hopefully mine will go next week.

Well some of the stress is off. Instead of trying to organize a rental that will take dogs from 6000 miles away it looks like we'll be heading back to my old hometown and staying in the family home which is now empty. My Mum needs to put it on the market so we'll stay there and help her out when she flies over. Hurrah!!!! I personally wouldn't want to stay there if I didn't really have to but fiscally and practically it makes sense. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices.
Luckily my husband's family are selling one of their cars so we'll buy it. I can't be in Kent without a car!! Of course now I have to learn to drive stick on the other side of the road.
I apologize to any drivers in advance!

You'll find the other side of the road a doddle. Just remember at roundabouts that anyone coming from the right has right of way - that nearly caught me out a few times - and look to the left before making a right turn (it's amazingly easy to forget that traffic comes from that direction!)
I wouldn't dare try stick though, so can't help there.

I would rather NOT drive stick but it appears that to be able to do car commercials in the UK the actor has to be able to drive stick. Seeing as car commercials pay the big ££ then I'm FORCED to!!! HAHAHA!!!!!
Oh what we'll do for money.........!!!
But thanks for the tips

I am a Mini Driver!!!! HAHAHAHA!!! But no.....not Minnie Driver!!! My jaw is quite a lot smaller than hers.
I act in TV, Films and commercials. Whatever pays the bills. No one famous just a working actor.
