yeh indeedy..... not much of a big deal, if you have a 48 page passport having then to carry 2 normal ones its about the same... in fact we have a 48 page one and an old one with visa in oh dear thats my hand luggage allowance expired!!!

You print out the online form, tailored to your requirements. You fill them in, package them up with your expiring passport, photos and a cheque, take them to a courier (like DHL) and send them. They all come back via courier which you've paid for as part of your cheque. You cannot use Empost. You need to keep your old passport and carry it until your visa runs out because (certainly in Dubai) they won't transfer your visa from the old to new passport.

when i had 2 lots due to come back a year or so back, i had a phone call from aramex he said he had 1 "parcel" to deliver i told him to check as there should be 2 lots of 2! he then comes to deliver with all of them! 2 old and 2 new! back then it was the new ones from uk and the old ones from germany the german ones were sent a day earlier but i suppose with the "flying" times they arrived into ab dabs on the same day... so back then it would be different to now where they are at least coming out of the uk.
