Pretty good hashish found here also, with no real difficulties. And Khat of course if you like to eat your garden hedge.[/QUOTE]

I was there 2007/8. Then we had to get stocks from Aden or drink at the British embassy. I never got on with stuffing my face with the garden hedge.

Like a very mild amphetamine with a slightly spaced out feeling. I never really got on with it because it tends obviously to stretch your cheeks and gums plus its not a cool drug you know. Sitting there with a cheek full of greenery for three or four hours, slurring your words isn't rock and roll enough for me.

A nice bottle of something plus a few joints that's how I roll habibi

A guy I know wrote a book called ' When Friday Comes ' which was him going all round the ME following the football . He was at all the tournaments and met a lot of the players and national teams etc . There is one great bit in the book when he's in Sanaa with the head of the Yemeni FA . They are telling him how they're trying to introduce measures to stop all the players taking Khat with fines and bans . Of course later on he ends up getting wasted on the stuff with the very same Yemeni FA !
Great read if anyone is interested in football in the ME.
