Sorry for the delay in posting, just had to get to point where I could actually focus on the screen, what with the tears of laughter...

Im an arrogant twat? If I had the inclination (which, quite frankly, I don't) I could pull up half a dozen posts from you in the last few days that conclusively prove who the arrogant twat is on here....

I do most of this journey every day, and it has been getting shorter and shorter. Allow 90 mins and you wil be OK.

Emirates road is now almost free flowing compared to a few months back. I had avoided it for ages but was really surprised when I recently used it - none of the great truck jams anymore!

That's not so bad then. Is his job going to be relocated to Dubai, or are you moving up here?

Done it lots of times from Ranches - going out the bypass road I would leave around 7:20 / 7:30 and be in Al Bateen (top left hand corner of AD, near Emirates Palace, so about as far away as you can get) by 8:45 - 9:00

Good to hear Emirates Road is better now as it was a nightmare - but the bypass road is always fast for the way back - take the turnoff just after Ghantoot.
