hi there. I am hearing rumours that headcount for '24 is actually still on hold, pending the outcome of project review. can anyone verify this? if this is the case, any idea when that will be concluded - is there a key meeting scheduled? The process is very frustrating. thanks all.

I do appreciate that funding for these projects is being scrutinised and the once frivolous spending is being curbed but the recruitment process really is testing and isn’t transparent. I feel lucky that I am still receiving communication as so many are being ghosted however you can’t expect people to wait this long or remain interested.

Really pleased it’s been an easy process for you as it hasn’t been for many of us on here. Congrats and hope you get out to Neom soon.

Quick question for the more experienced people.
Now that I'm finally into the portal, and can see all the roles being advertised, I've noticed that some of the roles I've applied for in the past are being relisted.
Can anyone say for certain if a) that means I should forget about it and move on? or b) I should delete the old application, and re-apply?
(Or C nobody can say anything for certain)
I'm also wondering in the portal when it says "No requirement" on an application, does that mean there is no requirement for the role, or no requirement for me?

Hi all
There is a recruitment freeze at moment for perm roles, I went through this route for a perm manager role but it ended with the final stage being frozen.
So a month later a third party recruiter invited me to interview for neom as a contractor smp so it's not perm but it's 12 month contractor that may roll over,
I provided 3 wage slips at the end of process and was told they will match and provide a uplift, but surprisingly the offer was only 18k sar per month incl 2 domestic flights to ksa which is not useful. I did get a update offer but its still under par on what my current package is.
My current UK package is better than this and there was no uplift added this is due the bands do have a cap and on my case it was not at the same level
I'm now looking at Dubai jobs as they are perm and pay more
It's been a stressful and wasted four months where this could have all been avoided if the recruitment company was transparent when I told them my current package and see if it was in the banding.
Utter waste of time , so don't get your hopes high that it's a great paying role
