There is no guarantee you will hear from HR aside from the confirmation that your application was received.
The recruiters are managing a large number of openings and generally only get in contact with candidates that are selected by the hiring manager, so there's a reasonable chance that you may not hear anything back.
I know that's not the best news, but that's what we are seeing.
Good luck.

As mentioned, don't expect to:
- Get confirmation that you've applied for any role in particular
- Get confirmation if you have been turned down for a role
- Get confirmation of what roles you have applied for
I ended up running a parallel spreadsheet tracking the role ID numbers, just so I could check if I had already applied for a role before or not. And when they re-list a role, I can't tell if I should apply again, or if they didn't give it to me last time then there is no point applying again.
Seems very pot luck, but I figure I'll keep plugging away at the prospects, and if something lands it's a bonus.

I am so keen on the position as it matches my qualifications, experience and skills. Its only that i dont have a saudi arabia or middle east experience. And I am non-muslim, non-saudi so I assume I will never get that position :-)

Everyone on here has been helpful, and there are plenty of tips from people who have been successful. Hopefully we haven't missed the glory days, and it's only a matter of time.

Hi everyone,
My husband was contacted for a role with NEOM, we applied in March so we were just as surprised to hear back. HR recruiter from NEOM said our cv was selected and shortlisted. How long does it normally take to hear back for interviews. HR guy just asked salary qs, age and notice period. We have been looking for a year for roles with NEOM and have applied to a dozen or more, so just do not want to get our hopes up and get ghosted.

Oops almost 3 months!! I better be patient then. The only position that came in my field was in july so I assume they would either respond in 3-4 months or never.
I wish good luck to your husband and pray he gets through.!!

The whole thing is really disorganised. They'll put up a job on the website but after a few days realise the role didn't get budgetary approval so they won't recruit for it.
At other times, people would go through the whole interview process, get a verbal offer and then the final person who needs to give approval might say no and the offer will be taken back.
So it is very much hit and miss. A lot of roles currently on the website are not being actively recruited for due to rebudgeting but theyve still kept them on the website for no reason whatsoever. Some roles are specifically for saudi nationals only but they don't specify it on the vacancy so again people end up wasting their time applying.
Best thing is probably to apply to a variety of roles and you might be lucky to land one.
