Hi Everyone,
Thanks for such helpful community. I will be grateful if any of you know the answers:
1. My gross salary is 96k euro, plus pension and other benefit are 120k euro total. NEOM offers 113k euro. Do you think it is too low? Given that I read here most of you get 25-30% lift. In my case, look like it is a decrease, isn't it? Especially if it is grade 5, Lead Role right?
2. Do you know the current situation there with the potential war and attack?
Thank you very much.

Your situation, I would say they're trying to lowball you. It's up to you, but you can put your foot down and ask for at least what you're making (or more).

What they're offering you is almost 38K SAR per month. I was making a lot more than 120k EUR and was offered less than 38k SAR per month. The recruiter gave me confidence that I was at the absolute highest of grade 5, and that they couldn't go any higher.

I understand that the offer is usually 25% * ur salary, but to provide an overview...
I had a first contact with the HR and the interviewer gave me a couple days to consider if the offer worth it or not. However, I work on a audit/consulting company (big4), so the salary is far (in a bad way) from the regular market, as you may know. And there is a plus that I am from Brazil, so 25% on top of my salary is ridiculous.
I was thinking on making a counter-proposal and see if it works, but it would have to be a value that's worth it to me and obviously not far from the others. I want a base so I can give my arguments and see if it works, but could not find anything yet.

Hi Dannja.
1) As of the beginning of last week, HC was still not approved for most roles. Uncertain on where the current number of posted jobs is on average, but these are all roles that were approved in 23 for hire in 24. They could be open or they could have candidates to fill them, but are awaiting offers. Once the headcount is approved, the postings will go up as fast as the recruiters can manage it. There are a lot of managers eager to staff up for the year. They just need their budgets approved.
2) The bonus process has begun. All EOY evaluations are with HR for review. Typically the bonus level is announced in early Feb and then paid in Feb or March. Can't tell you whether that will affect postings. If it does, then I'd imagine those positions would start going online in q2.
Hope that helps.

Did you finally join and I am in a similar situation where I have received an offer of 40 k per month marginally lower than what i am at now. Now sure which band or grade I fall into though ? Can you help what might be the best thing to do ... I am also with a big 4 so on the lower side of market rates I suppose.
