I take it you are progressing to the visa stage now? How long were you under offer before they provided you an offer or how long from your interview? Which sector are you going to be working in? A few people here seem to have been waiting for the next stage for quite a few months, just wondering if the headcount issues are starting to be sorted.

Hello ?
Did you finally join and I am in a similar situation where I have received an offer of 40 k per month marginally lower than what i am at now. Now sure which band or grade I fall into though ? Can you help what might be the best thing to do ... I am also with a big 4 so on the lower side of market rates I suppose.

What is your job title? lead/manager/etc.? then you will know your grade before seeing the offer letter.
I am not sure if it is the right decision to move there not for a great difference. I think should think about the career aspect. Whether it is a great job opportunity (suppose that the pays are the same) and where do we see ourselves in 2-3 years. What do we really want in life? Those are the questions that have burned me out during the couple of months and it is really a tough choice for me.

I am thinking the same ... As the difference is not much.
However the tipping point is the savings ....as almost every thing is free - so it's 30 percent to the bottom-line. And maybe allows for an earlier retirement corpus...
But I don't think there are too many career opportunities after a neom stint.

Technically, yes. But in practice very unlikely. By law an iqama must be issued within 90 days of arrival. IME employers often use this period to see what an employee is like. However, like another poster said, if it's not sorted fairly soon this should raise a flag as to how much the company values you, and an indicator of how things will be with HR in the future.
For the dependent iqama, it's always been quick IME, there's no reason for any delay. It's a very straightforward process paperwork wise. Dependent monthly fees must be paid in advance, medical at government clinic etc I, but apart from that..... The only reason for any delay is lazy HR, which again should raise a flag as to the employee's perceived value, or incompetent HR, which would also be an indicator of the future.
So technically yes, 90 days for the employee, and 90 days for the dependent is 6 months. But very unlikely in practice.

I did - they said that since I hadn't been at my new firm too long they considered my previous and have me a 18 percent hike on that... However it's marginally lower than my current.... They said they would send me a written offer ... Can we negotiate after that ?

Hi All,
I have moved to the next stage in a finance role and it is a 2hr assessment (90mins offline and then 30min presentation) Curious to know if anyone has been through that process and is happy to share a bit about their experience? Thanks

I remember you were waiting back in 2022, is this for the same role or did you end up applying for another role?

Assessment is a new thing that was implemented this week. So you could be the very first one to go through these assessments.
