What I did love, was how quickly we got there from Mirdif...just one straight road, 10 mins....no traffic lights, wonderful!
And yes, good parking, and lovely men with lit up sticks to show us the way...lol
The inside of the Mall (not M&S) did look nice though...

Yes, they were all very friendly and smiling broadly. Can't remember the mall (it did seem dimly lit though?) as we were in and out in about 20 minutes. But the other place (Ikea/HPanda) was incredibly crowded

yeah, we went to the other side as well afterwards (we were those people following you...). Always find it a bit of a strange collection of shops over there.

I agree but what happens if it takes me about half an hour to get over garhoud bridge!!!!

No, that's located in the Ikea part. In time, you'll be able to go from one to the other, but at the moment that's not possible.
There is a White Company in Deira City Centre as well, next to Flamant, a very nice furniture shop (oh and very expensive....)
