They are also the best of the three airlines who fly direct to the UK at the moment (in economy - in club and first BA knock them into a cocked hat). |

Because they are a good airline. They used to be the best, now they are not. Standards have definitely dropped. If you set very high standards, it's very hard to keep them. Especially with expansion as rapid as Emirates'.
