Too right. After the ridiculous boycott of Danish products over some cartoons by a single newspaper I deliberate buy non-muslim products as much as I can...so I am now overweight from the ham and bacon and my liver is swollen from litres of German beer...

...having principles is hard sometimes

My accounts were with Bradford and Bingley and with RBS in the UK and Gulf Bank in Kuwait. Gulf Bank did not go bust!! The former are now Spanish which I think is even worse.!

Islam has never been pro-women. It's a big lie we're being fed in the name of not upsetting people's beliefs that it's a force for good in the world.

As for fighting for rights in the UAE...most companies here still hold passports and don't allow their staff to change jobs without banning them for six months. I admire you for standing up for your principles as a free woman and not putting on a symbol of female oppression.

The koran actually states a woman should dress modestly...but who are we unbelieving kaffirs to point out such things to the faithful?

Saying that I think UAE law actually states women are not compelled to wear an abaya...but UAE says many things and means very little more often than not.
