Covid 19

Re: Covid 19
We have a very good comprehensive plan in place regarding procedure which covers everything from illness , quarantine and testing . Our quarantine areas are up and running which separate facilities and management and all our international movement suspended of men , that includes labour and staff . We haven't had any cases yet .
Different projects and clients have different expectations obviously and its changing hour by hour. Iv been impressed in how we've rolled it out so quickly and got ahead but im not sure how many are following what we are doing and to what scale .

We have sent "vulnerable assets" home and are working 7:00 to 14:00 6 days a week within curfew. We only have 40% of normal staffing levels in the office at one time. We are bolstering this with remote working. I got back to compound yesterday afternoon, I thought I was at Butlin's. I assume by those lounging round the pool that everybody has sent the "vulnerable assets" home. They didn't appear to be taking the social distancing very seriously.

For selfish reasons, I hope the market stays open and busy and clients can keep the cash flowing.
I think the only way it can really happen is if sites have testing immediately. Test and isolate and source contacted people. Not sure how else they can really justify keeping them open

There's obviously some major decisions to be made on major projects and that could drive where we head to basically . For us we need to operate and operate efficiently and we're adhering to the federal advice given .
Lets hope for the best

Agreed a full lock down would just have a massive knock on effect but some of our major projects are putting in constraints which basically renders you incapable to complete . Having to manage the clients expectation and your own workforce's well being is a very challenging scenario indeed .

There are big name clients asking for rate reductions though. It's the cash protection game now and even if you stay on a job there's no guarantees you'll get paid on time or anytime soon. Deep pockets needed to ride it out for sure.
Nice to hear your firm are taking the safety of people seriously though

We've had a full sanitisation of accommodation and vehicles and are only running people in vehicles at 25% capacity which is a very challenging logistic when you have to move 5,000 people per day to sites and back .
Obviously we review everything as things change but its a really tough time .
