Trying to look on internet is futile. Seriously the best advice take a 1 month temp serviced apartment like theusus did then look around when you are here and have your residency sorted.

It is very tempting to try and organise as much as you can before you get here. Unfortunately this place doesn't work like that - factor in an extra 50% of the time you think things are going to take then add a month on for luck. Things happen in their own sweet time here.

Having said that within 24 hours of getting here I at least had a bank account and mobile phone. It took me a month to find a decent serviced apartment when i got here as the place i was lobbed into by my company was a hole. I have taken a years contact out on my place. I still don't have a residency permit but then i can't apply for one until my company gets its act together. :)

Stay in touch and we'll get together when you get here, if i haven't given up/been sacked and gone home! lol

Remember that the tax-free status only applies if your hubby works a full tax year overseas i.e. until 6th April 2014 and limits his visits to the UK (90 days from memory). For various reasons in the Middle East, job security and the Sponsorship system being one major issue, this is a lot harder than you might think.

Don't frighten her off, we're selling the sun, sand and erm, more sand dream lifestyle here.

Anyway she comes from Crewe, so anything must be better than that....
