Re: Aramco
Yes I have heard that they are hiring multiple engineers for that role. I had my first interview as well and waiting for the next one. Good luck! Any advice you can give for the interview?

No...a friend of mine just interviewed for the same position today..I guess they are looking for more than 1 person because the roles is actually stated as "Integrity Engineers" the status is still showing "Thank you for participating in our interview process" If someone is not successful what will their status show?
I have no idea what their status will show because I was approached by Aramco themselves to apply so this has been the first time I've applied to them and, thank God, I passed. If it's still showing that then my guess is that they're still going through the selection as they may need more people for that specific role and then they will decide. I'll ask a friend of mine who works there. |

Do you have an interview with them or you are just at the beginning of the process?
I have not been contacted. But my online profile on Saudi Aramco career portal changed to “ you have been selected for interview†. This was in April. But I have not heard anything from them at all!! |

Re: Aramco
If I’m successful with the paperwork, I intend to do some recording because there isn’t enough information on the compound or what it’s like on the internet. It’ll be to show my family mainly who will be in the UK still until I get their permits sorted so that they can see what it’s like.

They're always looking for more than 1 so don't worry about that. Even for my role they were looking for because some people go there and they don't like and come back home. Others don't seem to cope well in the environment because they're not used to it, people back out at the last minute, etc...

That is a very good idea. There used be a lot of information on the Aramco expats forum until the website was shut down last month. How long did they say it will take for the paper work to be sorted?

They usually have the primary candidate followed by 2 runner up candidates just in case things don't work out mostly due to visa, paperwork, background checks, or people changing their mind at the last minute. As for the second interview, if you've performed extremely well then you should hear back within a few hours. If you haven't heard back after a week or 2, then that means that you still have a good chance as they're still either interviewing others to see how they measure up or you're a runner up candidate or they're seeing if they have space for an additional resource or they're trying to put together a team. Another thing of interest he did mention is that hiring is very seasonal over there so you may not hear back from them for a while. Most likely, you will hear something from them in mid-July in preparation for August where they start onboarding the next set of candidates for those who had their second interviews in June. |

Did HR contact you out the blue about the interview or was everything routed through the portal? Mine just continues to say 'Congratulations! Your application has been forwarded to the hiring organization' - the process feels painfully slow.
Do you mind sharing how long has ur application been on this status - "Congrats! Your application has been forwarded to the hiring organization"? Mine has been showing this for two months now.. |

I've just gone through the whole interview process and I've passed all the stages. The process took almost a year but now I've landed a provisional job with them on the basis that my paperwork checks out. They're pestering me for pay slips which I've refused to give them as I've read that they tend to match what you're getting with a little on top.
Thank you. |

Hi there, would you mind sharing how did the salary negotiations go? Did the make a great deal for not getting salary slips?
Thank you. They had no choice but to give me what I wanted as I was already on an extremely high salary and I was in a very fortunate position as they were quite eager to get me to join due to my specialist skillsets. They came back within a few hours of me doing the final interview that I've passed and that they would like me to join as soon as possible. The first offer they made which was NET + 20%, I said that's not good enough for me to leave this country and work for you guys. We had 6 intense rounds of negotiations if I recall correctly and let's put it this way, I would have to be a CEO of a major american company to earn this kind of money plus it's tax free. The biggest challenge I'm having now is that they seem to have different individuals for each stage of the process where they require more paperwork so it means I have to through this method of verification shall we call it to show them why such information will not be made available to a foreign entity. I'm very close to calling it quits if I'm honest with the amount and the type of paperwork they're requesting. I've actually had arguments with them on how ridiculous they're being but they bounce back like robots and say the same message. Their recruitment process is not for the faint of hearts. It's a pain in the rear. |

Initially. they were being painful but once I arranged a meeting between the HR rep and the organisation I work for, the salary negotiations went well. They were told by the 'organisation' that my personal info will not be released beyond UK borders so they never got them in the end. Also, before I was allowed to speak with anyone from Aramco, I performed a background check on them first to verify them before proceeding with any conversation.
