People probably don't, I think companies probably do as part of the overall package for very senior executives.

Thanks Mrs Cat. I had a look at the Lakes on the web (and some pretty fantastic satellite pictures) and it looks very nice.

Does anyone here live at the Lakes?

Also, is the Dubai country club still up and running? I'd heard rumour that it was going to close for some reason.

450k is a lot of cash. I suppose it really depends on how much your company wants you to be in Dubai.

Are mustangs relatively easy to get hold of there? Or do you have to dip very deep into your pocket (must repeat the mantra about saving money over and over again!)
Don't worry, they are nowhere near as common as the mums driving the 4x4's that are generally too big for them to navigate.

My mustang has a V8 ... you can't beat it!

The Lakes is really nice. It has nice walkways etc and a clubhouse with a bar, pool and gym. I think the gym is included in the cost if you are a Lakes resident.

I am not sure what the situation is with that now, if you rent from a private landlord

What ...you think the gym is not included if you rent privately? Maybe Emaar are looking to make more money?
