Re: Newbie

You know I'm drawing a blank here. I don't recall anything on the I-192F or the then biographical sheet that asked about the foreign fiancée's criminal past.

One occurrence of being convicted of being drunk, and when you were a minor, will not be an issue.

At most, a letter from your doctor stating that you are not a habitual drunk might be required. But even needing that is doubtful. Have seen that only in the cases of those who have had several drunk driving convictions.

Thanks Rete, you know what I think you’re right I think it was just about my fiancé’s history. Clearly my mind is going into overdrive! But yeah if it does appear on my ACRO I can easily get a note from my doctor. I barely even drink so it won’t be an issue (hopefully)

thank you for settling my mind, back to the NOA2 waiting :)

If any of the visa related forms ask "have you ever been arrested, detained, etc..." then it needs to be declared, whether it shows up on the police report or not.

Hey everyone! Hope you are all having a good week!

So we are almost 100 days into our wait for NOA2 it feels like the days are dragging but actually thinking about it it’s actually going quite quick!

My question is, would you recommend me gathering any paperwork including ACRO at this point or still a little too early?

TIA

Nicola :)

Id wait until you are approved, it takes like 10-14 days to get it, and you’ll usually receive the packet around 6-8 weeks after your approved.. so plenty of time to get everything organized!

Sit tight and wait! With my experience, I spent so much time worrying and waiting for my visa when I should have took more time to spend with my family. Once you get approved and receive your visa packet etc.. everything goes so fast that by the time you think about it, you’re on a plane!

Buy a folder with plastic sleeves, make copies of your birth certificate and every other document you have, gather evidence of your relationship (might not need it but it’s easier to have it) and just get it all organized so you’re not worrying last minute!

You’ll be fine, the wait is worth it. I get married next Friday!

Congratulations!! I remember seeing your journey on here, so happy for you!

I have actualky become so super chilled about it all now even if something doesn’t go right, worrying about it now won’t change anything. I’m just a super organised person lol :) I’ve been enjoying my time with my family and friends and making a point of spending all my time with them. My fiancée is coming over again next week and we have a huge family BBQ planned :) So excited!! :)

Hey guys hope you don’t mind me just adding to my thread when I have a question, it helps having everything in one place.

With regards to the intent to marry letter, how long are they valid for? We are coming into our 5th month since NOA1 so if the validity is 6 months do I need to get one from my fiancé for my interview (whenever that may be) with a wet signature or will a scan be suffice?

Also so the I-34 does this need to have my fiance’s wet signature too?

Thanks in advance

Re: Newbie

Bring an updated original letter of intent with wet signature (from both of you) to the visa interview.

Bring an original I-134 with wet signature to the visa interview.

Hi guys,

Just got my ACRO back and as expected it showed ‘No Live Trace’. Would you recommended I get the info from PNC (sorry if that she wrong wording ha) and have it prepared for when I get asked about it at interview? I’m still waiting for NOA2 (160 days) but I just want to ensure I am prepared as I hear it can take up to 40 days for the report to come back. TIA

My ACRO was the same it also showed ‘No Live Trace’ you will need to get a Subject Access Report (also available from ACRO) mine took just over a week to come. You will definitely need this for your interview also for the medical as they will need to know the offence wasn't drug related.
