Great advice from JuniorJ194.

The worst case for missing vaccinations is that you'll either have to stump up the cash and have them done at Knightsbridge or have them done someplace else and email the proof to Knightsbridge.

I took the required vaccinations page to my doctors and sat down with a nurse and checked them off against my history.

Yeah I’m going to speak to my doctor and if they can give me any missing ones then great if not I’m prepared to have them done at the medical - what’s a few extra ££ in the grand scheme of things haha :p

For the k-1 visa you don’t actually have to meet vaccination requirements until you adjust your status after marriage. But it’s just better to get them done before. I’d say most people in their 20s have been fully vaccinated.

Yeah I was reading that but think I would rather just get them done in the U.K. for ease and cost rather than fuss about in the states.

Just reordered a new birth certificate too as my parents don’t seem to have it lol.

Trying to get everything in order! :)

Hey guys, should I apply for my ACRO now or does it have to be a recent one by the time it gets to my interview? I know I’m a good 7/8 months away from that so I don’t want to get it too early but I also don’t want to get to it and it takes forever to arrive.

Thanks so much in advance

Nicola

The ARCO literally takes around 10 days to get, so I wouldn’t even apply for it till you get to the NVC stage as it does need to be 12 months in date. So I’m pretty sure getting one now would mean needing another further down the line! You don’t need it till you are ready to send off your NVC package (photocopy only) then take the original with you to your medical.

You won’t be sending one in an NVC package if you’ve applied for a K-1 Visa, that’s just for a CR-1 I’m pretty sure. You’ll need the ACRO for the medical as they take a copy! I’d make a copy of everything 🙂

The embassy accepts a police certificate as long as it it less than 12 months old, and I'm pretty sure the NVC is the same.

Re: Newbie

Hi everyone, so we are 59 days in to this long wait and wow it hard! So I keep thinking of mistakes we might have made on the I-129F and I have realised I didn’t add about a silly arrest I had when I was 17 (I’m 30 now) where I was arrested for being drunk (very embarrassed by it but as always young and stupid). I was given a reprimand for 5 years and then it went off my record. I know I’m stupid for not stating this on my forms and I have no idea why it didn’t even cross my mind but what can I do to correct this? Should we call USCIS?
I know I should have thought about it when we filed but I’m only human and it totally slipped my mind.

Thanks in advance

Nicola

I haven’t sent off for it yet as I didn’t want it to expire, shall I just send off for it now anyway and if it is going to expire I can just apply for a new one?

I was going to say if your ARCO comes back with no trace, then I wouldn’t worry too much about it as it’s a minor offence nearly 15 years ago! Others with more knowledge may disagree but that’s how I’d look at it.
