Can you help me? I have an appointment to get a stamp from InfoPass to extend the I-751 form about 5 weeks before it expires is this ok? What do I need to bring, etc. All help is appreciated.

Bring your passport, green card, your extension letter (if you have it), and proof why you need the stamp.

Extend the I-751 form? Do you mean extend your 1-year extension letter?

I had an InfoPass today and was told my application was transferred to CSC on 03/22/08! My passport was also stamped with a 1-year extension. The lady helping me was very helpful and sweet! All in all, a good experience and some great news.

No. It just means they've received the I-751 package.

I'm sorry, I re-read it again and it says your case has been transferred, sorry. But it doesn't give you any indication of when it will be adjudicated.

Extend the I-751 form? Do you mean extend your 1-year extension letter?

Rene
Yes, the letter will expire soon. I will need to travel outside the country to visit family within the next few months. How would I prove that, other than my word?

Do you happen to know why the delay in processing is occuring?

I appreciate your time and input.

Did you actually read the message you posted? It says your case has been transferred. I'm willing to bet that shortly after April 07, you received a notice or receipt indicating that your paperwork arrived. Well, it has now been transferred. Nothing more, nothing less.

In addition to everything else, you take a copy of your travel itinerary... and a receipt for plane tickets wouldn't hurt either.

What delay? I-751's have *always* been a low priority application since your status doesn't change at all during the process.
