I suggest you not take my word for it; there are several DCF timeline threads running where you can read others' experiences.

The interview date is quite consistently set at +/-60 days from the day DS-2001 was received. In between that is a letter notifying you of that date.

Would it be possible for you to direct us to a list of fees that we will encounter throughout the process?
We have found the following list: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/usc...004718190aRCRD but want to be 100% sure of where we are up to.
Up to now, we have paid the I-130 fee and will soon be due to pay £200 for the medical...is there going to be anything else that will be required to pay for before the Visa is issued? (Following its approval of course)
Thanks as always,
CandK

The petition fee
The visa fee
The cost of the medical comes under 'incidentals' (even tho it is major) along with whatever else you put in there... copies, storing your goods, travel/hotel etc.
That's all I"ve got on the top of my head.

Re: I-130 Filed in London (DCF)
We gave my wife's Blackberry (on Orange Network) email address within the I-130 application.
Our contracts have since came to an end and we decided to get Pay as you go sim cards to keep us going until we move to the US.
I am thinking that since we will no longer have access to this email address. (Unless we can find a way)
What is the best way to provide the Embassy with an updated email address?
Thanks

Does anybody know how long I am likely to be speaking for if I just want to ask them for my Authorisation (Authorization for the Americans) number?
Am I looking like a couple of minutes or like 1000,000 minutes?
Thanks again.

Well I just found the Switchboard number which states £1.20 from BT Landlines.

If you're still wondering about fees and costs past I-130:
- $404 for the visa processing (accepted in dolars or pound sterling) on the day of the interview
- £200 for the medical (plus an extra £20-£60 if you are missing any vaccinations and you decide to have them there - you can always have them at your GP)
- courier service when visa is approved (anything between £14.80 for standard service and about £37 if you opt for the very early morning service, 6-8am)
- if you haven't ordered your ACPO police certificate yet, that costs £35 for the first copy and £5 for each extra copy
- any fees for ordering police certificates from other countries, if applicable
- any postage you pay to return forms etc.
- any phonecalls you make to the £1.20/minute helpline
- your travel (and possibly accommodation if you live outside London) expenses to and from the US Embassy on the day of the interview
I think this is everything.
