Congrats!

I got my husband's and stepson's case #'s today as well with noa received Sept 26th. Seems like a mass exodus to be certain! We have to delay medicals though as we aren't prepared to move till end of June early July.

Booked Medical and have now submitted the Notification of Readiness form online as well as the DS-260. I photosnipped the confirmation page before I clicked submit so I have a visual copy of the form.

I have put down an estimated date in early March 2014 for intended travel.

Congratulations!

Mine came today! I'm normally a day late and a dollar short on most things. :)

Haha we are all part of the cool gang now :)

I sent off my printed confirmation and scanned printout of online notification with a cover letter asking if it would be possible to get an interview date as early as possible after my medical on 5th Nov; sent it recorded/signed for.

It may work, it may not :fingerscrossed:

Re: Hoffage's DCF Thread

Hi! I'm a newbie and will happily introduce myself in the appropriate thread, but wondered if I could pop in to ask a question here? Hoffage, you mention that you were "informed " by London that they had sent you a letter with your case number? Did they inform you via email or were you able to call to ask? I'm helping daughter and son-in-law with their DCF, and they received approval of the I-130 7 weeks ago, but have not received anything further. They have moved, but all their other mail has been forwarded, and they also have their friend in the former flat opposite theirs checking for anything that might be missed. We just don't know whether we should be expecting mail, or now email. They filed I-130 Aug 9, it was approved Sept 6. Thanks for any input!

Hi amyjo,

They can be contacted via the contact form http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/visa_contact_form.html

The petitioner (your daughter) can contact them using the form. The message we sent them was "my I-I30 was approved on this date. Please may I check you have received this approved petition and are ready to allocate a case number to my husband?"

Best Wishes

Hoffage

Re: Hoffage's DCF Thread

Thanks so much for the link. Here's hoping they give a "quick" response. We're all anxious for them to be able to schedule the medical, etc. Oh, and congrats to all on receiving their case numbers and moving along in the process.

I'm sure you're anxious... but don't get the medical done too soon. The visa is valid for 6 months from the date of the medical, not from the date of issue. If, for some reason, there's a delay issuing the visa - you might, albeit unintentionally, severely limit the validity period of the visa.

Re: Hoffage's DCF Thread

Thanks, Ian. Good point. They will need to time it properly then, since they don't want to move to the States any sooner than May.

Re: Hoffage's DCF Thread - I-864 Checklist Final?

I have in my possession

F-I-L I-864 completed.
Tax Returns: 2010/11/12 - Plus W2 for 2012 tax return.

Last 3 months of pay stubs.

His income was different over those three years due to his wife not working after 2010 - will this be an issue? He still meets the requirement as a joint sponsor. Talking a difference of about $20,000 from 2010 to 2011. He is employed but gets shifts depending on how much work there is (he is a road surveyor)

Wife's I-864 completed
Tax Returns: 2010/11/12
6 months of online payslips.

- Wife doesn't meet the requirements which is why F-I-L is a joint sponsor.
