Bashy,
Is there a paper trail of you working? Were you paid cash in hand?
Or did you get a cheque? Are you on your employers books in any way?
It's marriage, not marridge.

The reform may or may not contain some mechanism by which those who are here in anything other than a kosher immigration status can regularize that position. You may or may not qualify for that possible mechanism should you be present at that time, providing you have not already been deported or left of your own volition.
I don't think there's anybody who posts regularly on the forum who has been in your shoes.

If I were you I'd be hoping the US Immigration aren't monitoring this forum.

There most definitely IS something you can do. You can leave the US before you get yourself into a worse situation than you are already in. This isn't something you really need to think about... just do it.
Surely I could go back home for two weeks and apply for a holiday visa or a work visa?
You say "surely" as though this is something that's possible for you. From what you've told us, you don't qualify for an employment-based visa. As for a "holiday visa"... that would be a B-2 visitor visa and you will most likely be denied a B-2 visa because of your age and your inability to demonstrate strong ties to the UK.
Sad to say, you screwed yourself when you broke the terms of the Visa Waiver Program. When you applied for ESTA and/or signed the green I-94W form, you signed a binding contract with the US government... and you broke the terms of that contract.
What can I do?
I dont want to leave or dont want to be unable to never come here again.
I told you about 30 posts ago... what you want doesn't really matter. You can ONLY do what is legal and available to you. Right now... today... you don't have anything available to you. The only option you have right now... is to go home before you make things worse.

You certainly can get married on a VWP. However, your intended actions appear fraudulent.

It is illegal to marry for the purpose of obtaining an immigration benefit.
Just go home and let the relationship develop. Why are you SOOOOO against going back home?? You only intended to stay for a visit here anyway.

I think you need a more mature plan.

If you genuinely didn't work, and there's no paper trail to the contrary, I'd say you've learned a cheap lesson.
My old UK company had people "observing" on the VWP in Florida for a couple of months.
