Hi All

I picked up my EAD at our cleveland Local office yesterday 4th May. What a releif.

Expereince.
Went to cleveland local office with my appointment letter(sent by same local office) in morning 8:00 am
Put in letter in a tray.
Waited for 20 mins beofre my name was called.
Mentioned them that name on the fingerprint card was wrong.
It took 5 more mins for her to get corrected card.
Officer took my pic. She pic with what signature card and there rolled out my EAD good for year.

I Asked officer, when to expect Advance parole. She mentioned that they sent those to chicago and then chicago mails it out to us.

Overall good expereince, but some questions, why do they make us spend on pics if they have that facility to take it.? Why do they make us wait so much if they simply do it in 10 mins. To me, it seem that the application is simple. just have to check if we have pending AOS? anyways...

i think i see a trend here, kate.. most of the EAD's are approved in 6 - 8 weeks from their NOA..then... i guess it doesn't matter for USCIS... cos the immigrant (you and i and all these thousand of numbers for them) can go for the interim EAD... does it make any sense to ya?

PS:the advance parole's seem to be approved faster than the eads....

Know what ya mean. It's so infuriating, though. To get an interim, we have to take a day off work which could be used for something else a darn sight more enjoyable.

Even more frustrating is when your local office wont issue interim.

I hope that doesn't happen to me. I think I'd flip out right there and then and get arrested!

Oh, my husband flipped out! I had to calm him down because I know we will be dealing with the same persons when we do my AOS. I dont want to have sort of a friction between us later on.

I really, really wish you good luck and I pray you wont have the same problem we ran into.

Yay, guys...The new processing dates indicate that MSC is working on I-765s from November 17th, 2003...We're not going to be overdue anytime soon, that's for sure.

For the EAD you don't HAVE top be over due. Ninety days need to have elapsed since they received your application. Then you may apply for an interim EAD locally.

Now it has moved back again as has the dates for I-130's posted on the Texas Service Centers page. They REALLY are playing mind games!!!!!
