Hehehe!!! I fill my trunks sometimes when I look at the notice dates you post alongside the app number. I still think of British date format every now and then, and it looks like they're approving April's apps, and totally bypassing the rest of us who filed before that!! :p

Now wait a minute...

I have been following this post with interest b/c my husband has applied for his EAD at MSC/NBC we submitted the form on Feb 19 and had the biometrics on Feb 23rd. Our case # is MSC04140***** and we have not heard a thing. Am I understanding this correctly that first time EAD-ers are getting approved with dates after Feb 19th or is it just people that are renewing their EAD's that are being approved after the 19th? I hope we are approved soon!

Finally, after 76 days after my receitp date, I received latter to come and pick up EAD.

I have yet to discover any method to their madness as far as processing logically goes. When I called the 1800 number a week ago, I asked the rep if certain apps are given priority depending on the basis of filing, and she said yes. When I asked which cases are processed first, she stuttered and changed the subject.

Even back in the days when we were waiting for our K1 I-129F approval, another poster here waiting for the same thing had a notice date a day after mine, and her case was approved 3 WEEKS before ours!!!!!

I think it all just depends who ends up getting your file. They may be slow or fast, or the boss may take the rep off a certain type of case to help reduce backlog of another type.

kate is so right..there's no logic in this approval process...i have NOA's unprocessed from Jan 27..
cyndyabs has on her k3 list EAD NOA's from dec and yet NBC has already approved ones from march..
i've posted them a few days ago..
one REAL (lol) case is our friend phunklounge with a NOA from March 2...

When I first discovered the processing dates pages supplied by USCIS, I got so excited, as at least we had SOMETHING to cling to, rather than the pointless timelines they give you on your NOA. Now, though, even those web pages are totally pointless. Why in God's name do they use Nov 10th 2003 as their processing date, when they're clearly working on apps not just a couple of weeks, but MONTHS ahead? God forbid they take away the interim EAD option. So many of us would have to quit well-paid, enjoyable jobs, and then there'd be riots all over the country.

It "COULD" also be that it helps to reduce their work load. You see you cannot file and claim that you are past due until 30 days past the date posted on their time line. Sooo... if their was a giant mass o;f say EAD applications on November 16 thru 28, and your website said they were processing November 30'th. Them you would befaced with tons of people from these dates inquiring and complaining that they were overdue.

You could work overtime and put extra people on the task. Or you could move the processing date back to November 10'th and solve the problem with a few keystrokes. Now all the people cannot file an overdue inquiry as they are no longer overdue.

Sure is great havng the fox guard the henhouse...huh?

Is there a way to start a petition??? I'm happy for the people who are getting their EAD's approved fast but what about the people that filed before them?
