Well I’ve been close to The Grim Reaper and it wasn’t a pretty sight. The doctors had told me I was circling the drain. I was saved by a young man who was murdered by gunfire to his head and whose organs I and others received. A women in the room next to mine received his heart and lungs. I often think of him with mixed emotions. His dying saved my life and that of others and I’ve had 13 years of a happy life I wasn’t supposed to have. I do feel some guilt that he had to die for me to live, but I do thank him for signing that donor card.
