The Winter's Cricket - Ashes Thread

It's only lunch time, but I feel more as if it were the Last Supper.

Did it rain at the last supper?
It's raining now. Is God, after all, on our side?
Enquiring minds want to know.

So Trott had to leave due to stress. Really sad and I hope he feels better soon. Bell at no. 3, Root at 5 and Bairstow or Stokes no. 6?

, but they (the selectors) got it wrong at the Gabbatoir.

Nearing the Adelaide test. Their Thursday our Wednesday night I think. I'm certainly approaching this one with more trepidation and anxiety after our last performance. With England's success over the last couple of years I'd almost forgot how it felt to be an England fan.

I have a bad feeling about this.....
3 dropped catches does not the ashes bring home.

One a brighter note the feed was excellent. The Nando's party pack really hit the spot and lasted most of the day.

KP......we could do with another double century about now.

No quite yet, Root and Carrberry are still in. But yes, plus an A****e 2nd innings collapse.

As a Yorkshireman, I would really love to see Root bat all day. Let's see if MJ can still bowl 94 mph after 25 overs in the sun. In fact 2 days in the sun. Might burn that silly 'tache off his face.

Oh, well that's all right then. Less than 400 behind this time.
