Initial impression is that it's now a lot more difficult to spin the wheels and skid.

Frankenstorm is going to be rain not snow.

"The precipitation could mix with or change to snow over parts of
South-Central Ontario and extreme Western Quebec as temperatures
approach the freezing mark north and west of the storm. A significant
snowfall event could result over Central Ontario.

Central Ontario though, most of us are in Southern and Eastern expecting the 10cm of rain. Though it's always hard to decide where southern and central are they did say rain from the lake up to Algonquin and then they talked of Central separately.

anyway none of our local forecasts mention snow. Shame, a snow day I could maybe stay at home, rain have to go to work.

Have had good deep snow experience with a Swedish brand called Gislaved. Usually found at VW and Volvo dealerships.

I had those tyres on my pastel Beetle convertible, we don't get enough snow around here to test that aspect of their performance but I was disappointed that they didn't last a full winter. I think you'd need deep pockets to buy a second set.
