Yes, well sort of . Got bags to bins, didn't get bins street-side, but trash pick-up service didn't happen anyway...

I wouldnt have to shovel the snow either so its all good. Upside to apartments no snow shoveling on the tenants part.

Snowing at the moment. Sticking to roofs, but not the roads. 2-4cm expected then sunny tomorrow, so the forecast says.

Got an email from VCC (Vancouver Community College) and they had a snow day today after 2:15pm due to snow and unsafe roads.

The bloody snow fence always blows away, it doesn't seem to matter how many T posts it has or how far they're pounded in. So, this year we've gone tougher...

Vancouver seems very similar to London when it comes to snow. The slightest amount of snow on the roads and Schools close, public transport grinds to a halt and people call in to work with a snow day excuse.

Seems Vancouver area got a fair amount. Was snow free most of the day out in Chilliwack and still only a light dusting, never realized Vancouver region got so much more.

Anyhow apparently its been 1,000 days since metro Vancouver got any snow, so I wouldn't expect the region to be prepared as other city's would be who see it annually.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the purpose of that snow fence?

But couldn't get up get up the hill on the way home today. It took 3 tries to leave one bus stop. Several cars got stuck I assume without winter tyres. Daughter works on one of the mountains so husband retrieved her as we do have winter tyres. Then we had a power cut for several hours. It's just come back on. Luckily we managed to heat up dinner just before we lost power.
